Runners On A Mission, ROAM , is a running and walking team that began meeting in January of 2005.
Though majority of the members are runners, we recognize the benefits of walking, hence we are "walker friendly".
We are co-ed and our members are diverse in age and fitness levels. Our mission is to achieve physical fitness
through cardiovascular exercise.
We encourage the team members to accumulate at least 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise three
times a week AND with the team on Saturdays. We meet every Saturday, rain or shine.
We typically don't schedule group runs the first two Saturdays in May due to the KY Derby Festivities and
recuperation from the Minimarathon/Marathon.
There is no membership fee for ROAM. We simply ask you to pay race registration fees and purchase a dri-fit
team shirt to wear on Race Days.
The visionary of ROAM is Stacy Cohen. She is passionate about health and wellness and started running to lower
her cholesterol level. She is a Registered Nurse and Wellness Coach. Stacy is married and has three daughters.
